Brief Biography | Artistic Background
Anne Herzbluth (b. 1962, Germany · lives and works in Germany) is a leading German artist working in the fields of conceptual collage, assemblage and photographic object art. Her practice navigates the themes of memory, transience and perception, weaving together painting, photography and constructed layers to create poetic visual architectures.
Herzbluth gained international recognition when she was selected by the GAA Foundation as an official artist of the 55th Venice Biennale (2013) — a milestone that established her reputation on the global stage. Her works have since been exhibited at the Lucca Biennale, the CICA Museum (South Korea), and at major art fairs including Art Karlsruhe, SCOPE Basel, Code Art Fair Copenhagen, Realisme Amsterdam, KunstRAI Amsterdam and Art Fair Cologne.
Her multilayered collages and light-based objects appear like sedimented memories — quiet, precise and emotionally resonant. They reveal the fragility of recollection while maintaining a strong conceptual clarity. Today, her works are part of private and institutional collections across Europe and the United States.
Herzbluth’s international exhibition history and her presence at significant fairs position her as a compelling figure for the secondary market and future auction valuations. Her practice represents a subtle yet enduring avant-garde within contemporary German art, marked by intellectual depth and emotional refinement.

Our Mission and Actions
At THE ART HUB, our mission is initially focused on addressing a profound imbalance within the art world, specifically catering to women artists. In the current landscape, a mere 5% to 15% of artworks traded at auctions are created by women, starkly contrasted by the overwhelming 85% to 95% of works by male artists. This disparity is not only confined to auctions but is also prevalent in exhibitions, where male-created art significantly overshadows that of their female counterparts.
By concentrating our efforts on female artists, THE ART HUB aims to counteract this imbalance and champion women within the art community. This initiative is designed to amplify the visibility of women artists, making their creations more accessible to a wider audience, and ultimately striving for a more balanced representation of genders within art auctions and exhibitions. By prioritizing women in art, our platform boldly advocates for equality and diversity within the art sector, signaling a commitment to reshaping and enriching the cultural landscape.
