Brief Biography & Artistic Journey

Mia Buschmann is a 22-year-old artist from Munich. She has been painting for around five years and experienced art from the very beginning as a genuine passion — something that brings her joy, lightness and inner calm. Painting allows her to disconnect from the outside world while being fully connected to herself.

Her artistic journey began with abstract, strongly colour-oriented works, always guided by the desire to create calm, light and harmonious compositions rather than restless or dramatic imagery. Over time, her visual language has evolved. Today, she moves between abstraction and suggested figuration, exploring the tension and emotional depth that emerges from this connection.

Since 2024, Mia has been studying sports science, which strongly influences her current artistic direction. Movement, discipline, passion and special moments in sport have become important sources of inspiration. In addition to painting, she is also a passionate singer, seeing music as another form of emotional and artistic expression.

As an autodidact, Mia has been actively building her artistic career since 2025.

Our Mission and Actions

At THE ART HUB, our mission is initially focused on addressing a profound imbalance within the art world, specifically catering to women artists. In the current landscape, a mere 5% to 15% of artworks traded at auctions are created by women, starkly contrasted by the overwhelming 85% to 95% of works by male artists. This disparity is not only confined to auctions but is also prevalent in exhibitions, where male-created art significantly overshadows that of their female counterparts.

By concentrating our efforts on female artists, THE ART HUB aims to counteract this imbalance and champion women within the art community. This initiative is designed to amplify the visibility of women artists, making their creations more accessible to a wider audience, and ultimately striving for a more balanced representation of genders within art auctions and exhibitions. By prioritizing women in art, our platform boldly advocates for equality and diversity within the art sector, signaling a commitment to reshaping and enriching the cultural landscape.

Artistic Statement

For Mia Buschmann, art is a way to capture emotion, movement and meaningful moments with sincerity and sensitivity. Her current series, “An Athlete’s Moment”, focuses on emotionally significant moments in the life of an athlete. It is not only about the visible achievement, but also about the discipline, effort, work and inner dedication that lead to that one decisive moment. A central work from this series is “Rise”.

Her next project is already in development and is being created in collaboration with an established mosaic artist from Venice. This marks a further step in expanding her artistic language and exploring new forms of expression.

Mia sees her current path as only the beginning. Her goal is to continue developing her style, to experiment with new artistic directions and to increasingly touch people through her work. She wants her art to create moments of connection, lightness and emotional recognition.
