Maren Ramsauer is an Austrian painter whose artistic practice is deeply shaped by her background in sculpture. In her work, she explores the interplay of color, atmosphere and emotional perception. Her visual language moves between abstraction and subtle suggestions of landscape, creating atmospheric spaces that hover between memory and reality. Light, depth, and emotional resonance form central constants in her artistic practice. Influenced by artists such as Klimt, Schiele, Germaine Richier, Monet, and Van Gogh, she blends emotional intensity with atmospheric softness. Elements of expressive linework, rhythmic composition, and radiant color fields develop in her painting into a distinctive and unmistakable visual vocabulary.

Her work is characterized by thoughtful reflection, a strong awareness of composition, and a finely attuned sensitivity to chromatic harmony. She prefers classical painting techniques and collage elements on canvas, placing high value on craftsmanship and material precision. The artist lives and works in St. Wolfgang in the Salzkammergut, whose surroundings infuse many of her works with a meditative, contemplative energy.

Our platform provides carefully curated access to artworks selected by art experts, guaranteeing a selection of the highest quality.

Our Mission and Actions

At THE ART HUB, our mission is initially focused on addressing a profound imbalance within the art world, specifically catering to women artists. In the current landscape, a mere 5% to 15% of artworks traded at auctions are created by women, starkly contrasted by the overwhelming 85% to 95% of works by male artists. This disparity is not only confined to auctions but is also prevalent in exhibitions, where male-created art significantly overshadows that of their female counterparts.

By concentrating our efforts on female artists, THE ART HUB aims to counteract this imbalance and champion women within the art community. This initiative is designed to amplify the visibility of women artists, making their creations more accessible to a wider audience, and ultimately striving for a more balanced representation of genders within art auctions and exhibitions. By prioritizing women in art, our platform boldly advocates for equality and diversity within the art sector, signaling a commitment to reshaping and enriching the cultural landscape.

Personal Statement

I paint to connect the visible with the emotional - to capture those moments in which perception becomes mood. My paintings are spaces where color becomes atmosphere and memories, landscapes, and emotions merge.

I am drawn to the transitions between clarity and ambiguity, between recognition and sensation.

My process is intuitive yet deliberate: every gesture, every choice of color arises from the search for balance — between tenderness and intensity, calmness and tension. Rather than depicting reality, I aim to evoke an inner resonance, a quiet echo that reveals itself in the act of viewing. My work invites the viewer to linger, to drift, and perhaps to rediscover a part of their own inner landscape.
