Brief Biography
Born near Berlin, Gutsche Sikora trained as an industrial designer. In 1989 she moved to Vienna, then in 1991 she intensified her painting in Steyr
Her artistic work is nourished by the irrepressible joy of life, the spontaneity of the moment and a huge portion of passion and sensuality.
In addition to large-format pictures, her artistic work is also expressed in her design work, with which she gives decorative furniture fittings - SIRO Austria - elegance and dynamism, as well as sensuality and mysticism.
In 2015, Simone Gutsche-Sikora took over the artistic direction of the new AMEDIA Luxury Suites Graz and designed 50 different rooms and suites. A work of art to live in - 50 pART's of living.
In collaboration with KNY Design Austria, she developed the first ART Gutsche lighting collection.
Her art ranges from paintings on canvas, leather, porcelain to the implementation of her motifs on the ART Taxi in Steyr and life-size sculptures.
The horse motif only came about after her Friesian stallion Joop came into her life 11 years ago. Overcoming fear was the big topic, as she had never come into contact with horses before. On the contrary, she even spoke of a phobia. Despite all her fears, she decided to face the challenge and after a long time of learning, trusting, training - she learned to work on herself - new doors opened. Not only was the love between the two sealed, no - the passion for horses was now shown in emotional and colorful works of art on canvas. The walls of fear have fallen and since then not only a horse, but a muse has been at her side! Gutschi and Joop.

Our Mission and Actions
At THE ART HUB, our mission is initially focused on addressing a profound imbalance within the art world, specifically catering to women artists. In the current landscape, a mere 5% to 15% of artworks traded at auctions are created by women, starkly contrasted by the overwhelming 85% to 95% of works by male artists. This disparity is not only confined to auctions but is also prevalent in exhibitions, where male-created art significantly overshadows that of their female counterparts.
By concentrating our efforts on female artists, THE ART HUB aims to counteract this imbalance and champion women within the art community. This initiative is designed to amplify the visibility of women artists, making their creations more accessible to a wider audience, and ultimately striving for a more balanced representation of genders within art auctions and exhibitions. By prioritizing women in art, our platform boldly advocates for equality and diversity within the art sector, signaling a commitment to reshaping and enriching the cultural landscape.
