Grand Opening: THE ART HUB - Salzburg's Premier Art Gallery
Our Mission and Actions
Under the leadership of renowned art book author and Chief Curator Ing. Reinhard Fuchs, THE ART HUB is dedicated to correcting the profound imbalances in the art world, particularly for women artists. In an industry where only 5% to 15% of artworks traded at auctions are by women, compared to 85% to 95% by men, our initiative strives to shift this disparity. By focusing on female artists, THE ART HUB aims to enhance their visibility and presence in the art scene. Our goal is to make women's art more accessible to a broader audience and achieve a more balanced gender representation at art auctions and exhibitions, thereby contributing significantly to cultural diversity and promoting equality within the art sector.

This curated event is dedicated to celebrating and promoting the talents of women artists. Here’s how we are approaching the selection and showcasing of these remarkable artists and their works:
1. Selection Criteria:
Artistic Excellence: Works will be evaluated based on originality, technique, and expression.
Relevance: Preference will be given to artworks that resonate with contemporary themes and reflect diverse perspectives and experiences.
Impact: We are looking for works that have the potential to engage audiences and provoke thoughtful discourse.
2. Submission Process:
Call for Artists: Artists are invited to submit their portfolios via our dedicated submission platform.
Required Materials: Submissions must include a biography, an artist statement, and high-resolution images of recent works.
Deadline: All submissions must be received by a specified cutoff date to ensure timely consideration for the Christmas Opening.
3. Review and Selection:
Initial Screening: Our curator and a selected panel of art experts will conduct an initial review of all submissions to ensure they meet the gallery’s high standards.
Shortlisting: Artists who meet the initial criteria will be shortlisted for further consideration.
Final Selection: From the shortlisted group, 30 artists will be chosen to exhibit their works. This decision will be based on the collective assessment of the panel, focusing on the overall harmony and thematic consistency of the show.
4. Exhibition Planning:
Artist Coordination: Selected artists will be contacted to discuss logistics, including transportation of artworks, installation requirements, and specific display considerations.
Promotion: We will promote the exhibition through various channels, including social media, our website, press releases, and collaboration with local and international art networks.
Opening Event: The exhibition will kick off with a grand opening event, welcoming artists, collectors, critics, and the general public.
5. Duration and Public Engagement:
Exhibition Duration: The selected works will be on display for a period of six to 12 months, offering ample time for public engagement and critical review.
Educational Programs: Accompanying the exhibition, we will host a series of talks, workshops, and guided tours to enhance visitor understanding and appreciation of the featured artworks.
